Rethreads · a free mass clothing exchange event

There is a really great event happening here in Sydney this weekend. Rethreads is the ultimate experience for bargain-hunters, style-savvy and the sustainability-conscious; a free mass clothing exchange event. Presented by Oxfam Australia and CarriageWorks as part of the “Exchange for Change” festival, participation in Rethreads is free and clothing is your currency. All you have to do to take part is bring up to 20 items of pre-loved clothing or accessories you would be happy to swap. Early bird drop-offs start today. Vintage Finds · Toys

Today I have a little bit of vintage goodness to share with you all! I had so much fun browsing through vintage toys while preparing this post. Some nostalgia here and there, toys I had, some I would have loved to have... Anyway, seeing all these beautiful objects made me feel very grateful for the people that looked after them and treasured them so that we can still enjoy them today. Hope you like them too!

New from Ecojot + Giveaway Winner

I have posted about Ecojot in the past, they are such a great example of business commitment to social change. In this new initiative they have partnered with the Jane Goodall Institute to create a set of journals (always beautifully designed and produced from 100% post consumer materials) for which royalties will go to support the JG Institiute, including it’s global environmental and humanitarian youth program “Roots & Shoots”.

The covers of Ecojot’s new collection of journals and sketchbooks features unique illustrations of endangered species, including chimpanzees, which Dr. Goodall has studied and advocated for over the past 50 years. Jane Goodall is such an inspiration to me (and I am SURE to many others around the globe) so it is really great to see that her research and social programs are receiving support.

Modern Little Munchkins

One of the things I enjoy the most about having a new sponsor (apart from having a new sponsor obviously!) is discovering products I hadn't come across before.  Modern Little Munchkins has a great selection of cool, organic and eco-friendly kids' products from local and international brands, covering the whole spectrum from toys to fashion to essentials like nappies and body products.
